I had some 10" matte black stripes with 1" matte black pinstripes installed on my 2006 Mustang GT

I have a 1/4" gap between the stripes and pinstripes.
Today I noticed that there are some scratches in my paint where this gap is located.
They all seem to be on the hood of the car.
The scratches are not deep and I am assuming they happened when the stripes were installed. There are a few scratches that are deeper than the others though.

They seem to all go in the same direction looking like this " / " although not quite as angled.

I was wondering if I could use some scratch remover to try to get these out using a q tip to apply the remover, OR if they remover would damage the stripes if I got any on them.
I talked to the shop that installed the stripes but they were not much help.

I know this product has a polish... and that waxes and polishes are not good for matte black vinyl stripes. But it says that for small scratches you can just use step 2, which is a finish.

I do NOT want to damage my stripes. But I would like to get these scratches out if it is possible. Is there something that you use that would not damage the stripes if it got on them? (especially with them being matte black)? I know a 1/4" gap is a small amount of space to work without getting ANY amount on the stripes themselves.

I really need some advice on what to do about this.
