Default New Rims and Tires

Hey guys.

I was planning on holding off on rims but now I need new tires so I figured what the hell...

Anyway, I'm kind off lost. I have a 2005 V6. It's black and manual...

Size wise, what should I look for in rims and tires. I know I want 20's but I don't know width...

What tires should I look at? I was checking out Nitto Invos and Pirelli PZERO Rossos. I'm looking for the best tire I can get (within reason)...

What size tires should I look for?

tire sizes depend on wheels size esp the width. how wide were you thinking of going?

Price limit...unknown. I don't want to go above $200 per tire but I'm open to all suggestions (don't let the price limit stop input but don't recommend a $500 tire please...)

I like thick tires (like wide)...not really sure how wide I should go but I want to go pretty wide.

Rims are still being considered as well. So what do I need to look at in terms of rims to get a wider tire?

Go with a 20"(rim size) x 8"(width) or 9"(width) for the front rims, and 20"(rim size) x 9"(width) or 10"(width) for the rear. Now for tires, if you want to drop the car and stay comfortable, get a 35 or 40 tall sidewall tire all the way around, and if your tire width exceeds 275 (your stock ones are 225) on any wheel, prices will go up a lot. Rosso's are overrated IMO, Invo's are the best performing and quality tire for the money

I would really think twice about going with 20s unless you get a very lightweight rim. I went from 18 inch fanblades to wider 18 inch rims with wider tires on my GT and I can definitely feel the weight difference.

Okay, thanks for the replies.

I am 99% sure I want 20s. I'm looking for appearance over performance on the rim aspect...

So, in terms of tires, what should I look for (xxx/xx/xx). What is the third number? I understand that the first number is tread width, second is sidewall height, but I don't get the third...ohhhh, rim size...

So, anyone else vouch for Invos? Is there anything else I should look at? Any other size preferences? What width should I look for in front?

Also, what life should I expect out of these tires (miles wise)?

Does this seem weird to you guys? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Nitto...Q5fAccessories

I'm just skeptical as to why someone would have take-off tires with under 100 miles on them...should I go for this or no?
