Default 20" wheels. To keep spare tire or not?

To those who have 20" wheels...Did you remove your spare tire? I was thinking that it's just dead weight now that I have 20" wheels.

I thought that. I put my spare on in the drive, it will get you home. If you racing, sure take it out. If your out cruzing looking cool you may want it so you don't become stranded.????? just my 2 cents

What? I see no logic in your question OP. I have 20''s and have used my spare. Are your tires run flats? If so, that has nothing to do with them being 20"s.

I was just thinking that the difference in diameter from the 20's and the spare would cause problems and be unsafe to drive even if it was temporary. The car would certainly be lopsided. Guess I'll just leave the spare in the car then.

the size of the rubber should make up for most of it.....the same way you have a larger tire diameter when you have 17 or 18 inch rims

My 20"s are the same diameter as the stock 17"s that came off my car.

the mustang has the largest wheel well of any car in it's size so putting the stock tire size on should be a rare occurrence because of the comfort you can gain from going to a larger tire.

the rears can fit 295/45/20

But is the spare the same size as the stockers?

Your 20's are just 2 tenths of an inch shorter than the stock rubber, your spare would be fine on there. I'd be worried if one of my rear tires blew though, for me the rear tires are nearly an inch and a half taller than the stock tires.
