I agree that there are no "best" axle backs as there is no performance gains. I have JBA's and love the sound, while not having the drone inside the car most all the time. That is really annoying to me!

I've got the BoomTubes and they're just "ok". Really could make a little more noise... Wish I went with the Loudmouths... (LMs were a bit more pricy when I looked).

I have Borla Stingers on my GT and I LOVE the sound of them. Just needs some new midpipes and long tubes

I run American Thunders, I get a lot of compliments. It is amazing how much better they sound(deeper) running my 93 tune vs 87 or stock..my UDP install made a difference..but again..personal preference

Exhaust is all about preference and you need to understand that doing different things to the exhaust system may make you want to change your choice of axleback. I started with Magnaflow 40 series, then swapped to Flowmasters, then Magnapacks with an O/R X pipe, then finally, MAC axlebacks now with an O/R H pipe and MAC Long Tube Headers. Again, it's all your own choice, but IMO the MAC's sound the best at idle and at wide open, but they have alot of drone, but drone is the price to pay when getting a good sounding setup

I have flowmasters and I feel that the sound is really great. But I also feel it is up to each person the sound that they want.

I have the MAC's as well. They do sound pretty good, but yeah, they drone a lot. I had the Flowmasters. Really liked em. Enjoyed the overall tone, but wanted something a bit louder. I have them and an off-road H for sale in the classifieds, but if they dont sell soon I'm going to put them on the car and sell the MAC's. I personally liked the Flows better, just werent loud enough. They would be with the offroad though.

my quick thoughts on this. The SLPs are really expensive for a small section of pipe with a tip. More like a muffler delete then anything. If you got a good exhaust shop around you can probably make something comparable for 1/2 the price. hell, if you want to go that route, might as well unbolt the exhuast past the H-pipe, remove the rest of it, and weld in some dumps. Anyway, just a thougt.

My real advise here was gonna be this, go to youtube, search for whatever year you got mustang gt exhuast, and listen to all the clips. Its all other peoples opinions until you hear one for yourself.

Im loving my Pypes A/B mufflers. Great sound when starting the car up, low deep rumble and not too much drone to them. Just dont pair this system with a X pipe though, heard it sounds like crap.

Flowmaster A/T and O/R H pipe FTW!! When I put the flows on originally it was with the stock h pipe and cats. Then a few months later I got the O/R h pipe...Wow it sounds awesome and its LOUD!!
