Did you notice how the Eibach pad is undercut at the bottom? I'm thinking in an effort to soften the final blow. It could also have something creating a progressive rate on the interior, like a cone shaped hollow, maybe.

Here's a link to their tuning guid for the universal motorsports stops:http://performance-suspension.eibach...s__bump_stops_

When I lowered my car I used a set of these ford bumpstops:
http://www.cjponyparts.com/FORD-RACI...2011/p/M5570A/

There made for lowered springs. It's not that there shorter, but there made from a different material that absorbs more. I haven't hit bottom with my car yet, and it's lowered 1in in front and 2 in in rear. I used Roush Extreme springs and KONI STR.T shocks and struts.

Yes. The chamfer is a little better than nothing.

Entirely possible.

I'd still wonder if a cone-shaped void in the solid thing would be as effective as just making the solid thing conical, though. But again, still better than nothing.

Maybe somebody will post up a couple of pictures . . .

I see the picture, but this
Application Lookup

The application guide below will allow you to view a listing of EBS Eibach Bump Stops

After choosing the Desired Length, ID and Bump Stop--click on View Graph and Image for travel and rates along with the actual design. To select another--just return to the selections you wish to change and continue through the steps that follow.
doesn't lead me to where I can enter that data, or anyplace else useful for that matter. Maybe it's me (too early in the AM <yawn> ) or maybe it's the office internet connection filtering it out (grrr, dammit).

I seem to remember going through a bump stop stiffness vs height discussion or two over on an F-body board some years ago. I don't think it ever got quite as far as trying to estimate the lateral load transfer effect numerically, as a linear geometric roll center model based on the normal suspension linkage is no longer adequate.

Here's an example of the data for one of the stops. It is actually a progressive rate spring.
