Default 08 leather seat wear. (warranty)

Hey all I noticed this weekend that I have significant wear on the drivers seat. I have less then 18,000 miles on the car. Is this a common problem and would it be covered in the warranty. Thanks. It's a pony package if that makes a difference.

If you have a crease so bad that it has actually cracked, then I would take it back to the dealer.
The leather that they use in our stangs is not the top of the line, but it is better than cloth any day.
So far no problems with mine.

I'm at work now I'll post pictures when I get home. But at the spot the black Is gone and the grey underlayment is wearing through. No holes yet but it's just a matter of time.

It wont hurt to call or bring the car in and tell them about it and see what they can do.

good luck with ford. but if its just creases they wont do anything about it. but if it has actually worn thru then thats another story. i have an 08 and the normal wear creases is all i have. but im also only a 125 soaking wet. lol

agree with others, if you were to take it in they will most likely tell you its normal wear and tear. which they don't warranty

I had the exact same issue on my '07 @ 35,600 miles!! Just had it replaced. They didn't give me any crap about it at all. He did tell me that if it was on the bottom part of the seat there wasn't anything they could do about it because it would be considered "normal wear". I didn't have to argue with him fortunately because mine was on the upper part of the seat where my butt slides across (no I'm not fat either )when I'm getting in and out of the car. But I thought to myself "normal wear" my @SS!!!!! Fortunate for me the bottom part is just creased and not worn through.

I changed dealerships a little while back though because I was tired of the first one fighting me on everything. A longer drive for me but worth it if I'm going to get taken care of hassle free.

Good luck! They SHOULD take care of it!! Keep us up to date

I have creases and cracking in my red leather. I bought my car new and have less than 11K miles on it... I use armor all leather treatments, but it couldn't prevent the current damage.
