What do you use to wash her?

Waxing, on the other hand, I think should always be done! You're basically leaving your finish unprotected.

Wash with Turtle Wax Ice.
Dry.
Spray wax.
Done.
Forget about being so meticulous. You're wasting your time. Just clean off the major crap, spray wax it, and drive it. No amount of care will keep all the little swirls and marks and scratches off. It's going to happen.

Not saying anything you're doing is wrong (to each his own! ), but using soap isn't a bad thing. The suds help lift the dirt off the car and help prevent it from scratching the surface. Also, Meguair's Gold Class Shampoo & Conditioner, for example, contains paint conditioners.

The REAL secret is.... garage your car when not being driven, my car has been garaged the entire time I have had it and is not driven during the week.... looks like it came off the lot... no wax, no soap, no problem

That is the secret! Unfortunately, not everyone is able to do that though. Some don't have a garage, some use it as their daily driver. For them, no wax and no soap would be a problem. Luckily, mine is only a weekend/nice weather driver and I keep it garaged the rest of the time.
