2008 Trying to find the cause to why there are scratches in the paint on the rear bumper underneath the trunk lip. It looks like the trunk is making contact but can't see that it is. "Dealer can't fix problem if they don't know what it is". Saw a '07 in show this past weekend who also had it, didn't bother the guy it was like that. Well i'm a different person I need it fixed!! HELP!!!!

I believe the trunk hits the bumper ever so slightly when you close it with any force. I also have the marks...you may be able to get the dealer to realign the trunk (if possible) to alleviate any contact.

My 07 had that problem but just very small marks. My 09 does not do it at all but it looks like they changed the lower edge of the trunk lid or the top of the bumper cover.
