Question about Color of Racing Stripes on Mineral Gray GT
I just purchased a Premium 2005 GT in Mineral Gray, I had to go to florida to get it because all our dealers here in the
DC Area have a $5000 - $10,000 "Regional Markup" on ALL Mustangs, (yea right If I could afford 40k for a car it would be a vette)
So why Florida you ask.." I am visiting Family so why not "
My question is about what stripe colors would go on the Mineral Gray ?
Any suggestions before I buy?
I can't Wait for the Long drive back to Virginia, [sm=happy046.gif]

I also have a Mineral Gray 05 Stang.
I have been try to figure out if I should go Black or Silver.
I think I am going to go Black.
I seen the Silver and it wasn't my cup of tea, it looked nice, but I am going to go with the Black.
I had the "Mustang" decals put on the bottom in black and really like it.

Check out "nickbrace" on the member list....he has silver stripes, they almost look white.
They have a web site where you can play around with the stripes on different color 05 Stangs, but I can't remember where it is at, if I find it I will let you know.

I am not going with any stripes.
I have read the stripes have problems with wax, unless they are painted on. Also, chips in the material.
They look good though.....
There are alot of Mineral Grey Mustangs on this site that are very sharp with stripes.

I went with silver but am changin mine already....I next week or so I am going to black as I think it will stand out even more and look more 'imposing'!
I am going with a 21 inch single black stripe through the middle and then a 1 inch gap and then 2 inch stripes after that - it will look gorgeous when finished!!!

Personally, I like the silver stripes. Black would probably be a bit more agressive, but may also make your car look overall darker while the silver brightens it up.

lol... being in NoVA, I almost did the same thing (my wife and I both have family in south FL). Luckily, I found mine in DE, which saved me about 14 hours on the trip home

Damn, oh well.
As far as the stripes, I am leaning towards black, I Agree with you on the fact that silver will lighten the car
while black may make it look darker. WOW the poll is almost even silver / black. Cool....
Makes this a difficult decision.
