That's a damn good motor.

In fact, I have the same one all optioned out (except in a 4v setup). Revs smoothly all throughout the powerband, and if need be, goes far into 7k rpm as smoothly as it does across the lower rpms.

Al papito makes a good motor for a heck of a price. He built my 4.6. Heard good things from MMR and VT as well, but haven't done business with them.

Thats awesome to know that factory mustangs can handle at least 435hp if tuned properly. So I guess ill save up for the roush charger on the roushperformance site instead of a body kit. But i also need rims and good tires, its gonna take forever. seeing as im only working seasonal and doin school for the majority of the year.

The stock block can take some abuse. Can't wait to see what the 5.0 will handle.

nah.. my 4cyl takes 450wHP to 480wHP i threw at it for years no prob..
I was hoping mustang would goto 550 to 600wHP without needing to be rebuilt
but can't complain 450wHP is alot of power..
so is 2010 4.6L engine the same as 2005 to 2009
because someone was saying you get less hp for mods with 2010s
I want to get my mustang to 350wHP with bolts ons, meth injection and a tune (SCT)

Well you have to remember that your 4 cylinder already had a built engine. You can get 350whp with intake/tune/full exhaust/cmcv deletes/UDP/and cams.

I have heard alot of good things about Al Papito built engines. Have heard alot of bad things about MMR built engines. No personal experience with either though.

I've been at just under 500whp for a little over a year. Not alot of total miles over the year (maybe 6k?), but tons of track passes and when I do drive on the streets, I'm beating on it like the red-headed step child. Drivetrain has been fine (except for an exploded clutch at the track, clutches in these cars are a PITA), and no engine problems.

All that has been changing lately as I'm in the middle of changing my setup, and had a Novi 2k which just wasn't enough for what I wanted, so heh, I guess you can figure that I'll now be pushing the limits of the motor to verify its strength
