Got Hit by deer last night update PIC
I got hit by a deer and the front bumper and driver's side quarter panel got destroyed and I was thinking about upgrading my front bumper in the process. I wouldnt mind forking in a few hundred bucks to get a different bumper and new grill which I would need converting to a GT style front end. What would be a good alternative to a GT front end. I would like a roush bumper but I think it is a lot more money. Any ideas? else should I just stick with a GT front end?

I couldnt open my door so I had to use a crow bar to bend the fender back. Made me cry a little inside

a new take off GT front bumper with the grill is about 400.00 + shipping. The Roush front bumper is about 650.00. That doesn't include the chin spoiler though or the grill. Not sure how much those are. If your insurance is paying for it they may give you what it would cost to get your bumper from Ford, so you may have a little more to work with. Get an estimate and go from there. Good luck.

You may be able to get a used GT bumper from someone who has upgraded the one on their GT. I would check the classifieds or possibly craigs list. Should not cost you too much and you could use the remaining money for other things.

The CS is still the cheaper way, unless the "New take off people" have a GT one in your color.
A Cobra front will run you about $1800 in parts, not including the hood.
If you really want that front end but you're short on cash, try to hit another deer harder.

I don't know what your situation is, and not saying to try to scam your insurance, but you can talk to the repair shop. If you can get the aftermarket parts ordered to replace panels the shop is saying to your insurance needs replacing, the insurance doesn't actually come make sure its OEM parts going back on, they just either agree with he estimate and cut a check, or send there appraiser, arrive at a amount, and cut a check, then its up to you and the repair shop to figure out what your gonna do with that money. You might not end up with anything out of pocket.
