And I'm not worried about it, just annoyed. If all of the manual transmission Mustangs behave this way, I'll just learn to live with it and accept it as the way the car works. If they're not all this way, I would like to see if it can be adjusted to be more like all of the other manual transmission cars that I've owned. I'm sure that after I've owned the car for a year I won't notice it at all anyway.

I drive an 05 Ford E150 at work, it has a 4.6 in it of course an auto trans, it acts the same way my Mustang does. It takes about 7 seconds for it to start to decel, so it would seem Ford uses the same type of program in alot of it's vehicles. It is the fly by wire thing, we will just have to get used to the new way automobiles act.

My 02 V6 Mustang does that same thing as my 05 GT. My 03 F-250 diesel has the fly by wire and when I take my foot off the accelerator, it does slow down pretty quickly. Seems like they have different programs for the gas version.
