I took that whole center console assembly apart and put sound deadener on the underside of it. This reduced noise a lot and now the only thing that gets hot is my shifter. I used RAAMMAT BXT.

I'm thinking of buying about 60 sq feet of dynamat from e-bay and do the whole floor of the stang. I think that should prolly take care or the sound and some of the heat. Thought about trying that ?

dynamat is expensive. I would look at raammat or the other one people like to use, but i cant remember the name of it.
