Default Which Wheels do I set my speedo to?

I am about to install a new set of wheels on my car, and they are slightly different sizes, do I set them to the size of the rear wheels, which makes the most sense to me, or the front wheels?

Yep, it's your rears.....Compare the overall diameter change of your rear wheels ( Google.. "Miata Tire sizing") ...example 235/55/18 = 28.2 " diam. and 255/45 18 = 27.0 " diam. i.e. larger overall diameter will affect your speedo reading and rear Gear ratio...

Yup rear tires. Do a standing burnout and watch the speedo go up. Only thing moving are the rear tires, so bingo there's your answer.

You adjust for the tire revs per mile on the rears.
