Default can anyone get a hold of BAMA??

I've been trying to get a hold of Doug at BAMA for a week now. I just got my cams and LTs installed and the car wont stay idling...it keeps dying...im assuming the computer just needs to relearn the idle since the battery was unhooked but was just wondering if maybe it was something in the tune...any help?!

I thought they turn off the learn cycle? Did you have someone install the cams for you or did you do it yourself?

I havent tried emailing him but it has taken a week for him to get back to me before. Some days its the same day or overnight, just depends.

Which email are you emailing?

I sent him an email on Monday and haven't heard back yet. Sometimes it has taken up to a week for him to get back to me.

The car relearns the idle by idling. I didn't have idling issues when I installed my cams or headers with a Bama tune. Double check your air intake for leaks, make sure all harnesses are hooked back up in the engine (Injectors, coil packs, cam position sensors).

What do you have idle RPM set at with the tuner?

Some learning features are turned off, some are left on. Not sure about the idle learning feature.

i believe the idle is at 750 or something close to that...as for checking everything it has been done and I had a shop install everything...all I know is that when I installed my HIDs and had the battery unplugged once I put everything back together it took about a week of driving for the idle to relearn...everytime I pushed in the clutch it would almost die and that was before the cams

As an FYI, I was reading a post from bama on another site where bama is a sponser. They are really backed up because 1 of the guys there got into a motorcycle accident. They are doing their best to get back to everyone, so just be patient with them

I called them for a tune the past Thursday, he was very polite and helpful and I got the tune this Tuesday just as he promised. I had to call him 3 times first and then I got an answer though...

Use your tuner to increase the idle rpm... it's pretty easy.

I took me the better part of a week to get ahold of anybody over there, trying to figure out when my order would be shipped, called five business days in a row with no answer, and sent two emails before hearing back... Just keep trying I suppose. Good luck

I ordered a CAI and Tune on Monday and I was having issues during the ordering process, so I left a message on thier site via email. I heard back within two hours. However, Tuesday night I sent an email asking if they could make my 87 tune emissions friendly and I have not heard back yet.

I do not mind being patient, but I have always read how thier customer service is so great. If they are really backed up, they should have automated reply emails that let you know they received your message and they will get back to you soon.
