The funny part is the one I bought was built a smooth month after the one I ordered. I would laugh if it wasn't so ridiculous.
Dconfer, has your dealer called the local railyard to see if it was recently placed on their inbound list? I think at this point Ford should have put in a 5.0 for you.
I dont know if I would say I win the award. Believe me I have not been patience at all. I have actually looked at other vehicles but could not find anything I liked. Even looked at the camero. Could not stand the interior. My dealer didnt give me the info that it was shipped. A guy on the forum told me it was. I stopped last night at the dealer and the computer still says ramp 51. But like I posted before he showed me a truck he got on monday the computer still says its at the plant. The dealer said if it shipped Monday and was in Ohio yesterday good chance it will arrive at the end of the week. I dont think they would know who to call for the railyard. So I will just wait and hope it comes in. As to putting the 5.0 in I ordered the V6. I know everybody is on me for ordering it but I want all the bells & whistle and I could not afford the gt with all the options I wanted. It would be nice thou if ford would offer a discount even if a few hundred dollars to say sorry for the mess. But most important I think they should have told us what was going on and give updates instead of letting us sit.

I don't think we can track the order. Ford has a special 800# but it is available for dealers only. It was available for general public but it was changed I believe last year. If you call the number you will be asked for dealer code and than the pin code. Here is how the process works. The dealer sends inquiry about the order status. Ford send back the response with the pin #. The dealer than contact Ford with this pin # and the info is provided. I've tried to fool the system and that's how I found out about it.

If your dealer is not working with you, then you must have a VIN or a dealer stock #, if you have either of those just call Ford, I took me maybe a total of 10 minutes to find the number and have my cars status, 800-392-3673, now maybe I got lucky and happened to get someone that helped me out?

I called this #. here is what I got. Original date of arrival to my dealership was 06.21.09. Unfortunately Ford was not able to give me more info on the location of the car. They referred me to the dealer as the better source. I am going to pay them a visit this weekend.

One of the previous posters to this thread is correct. Ford does priorities their delivery/orders. For example, overseas orders from military contractors get priority over any other form of shipment (my vehicle is being built stateside). It's just common courtesies they are extending to us for serving the country I suppose. Either way it works out great! Sorry about your guy's wait...
