Now I'm being told --10 weeks.. maybe.
Hey all,
Just wondering if anyone is having doubts as I am about when they are receiving their 2010 stang. My order was placed on may 16th 2009, and I was told 6 to 8 weeks. Fine. I sold my car, and now 8 weeks later I'm still waiting and when I call the dealer they tell me they have NO information, and that the systems shows no build number was assigned yet, so maybe it'll be more like 10 weeks. I just feel like I'm getting the run-around.
It's the middle of the summer and my stang is MIA! help!

I wouldn't start to worry until about 12 weeks. The new S197 is very popular, and I bet they are selling more than they have since the introductory months of the 2005 model.
What I mean is that the demand is very high, and dealers probably have preference over you, but hang on, get the number to check your car's build progress and who knows, maybe Ford will come out with rebates this fall when you get your car! JK!

16 weeks? Jeez. I just ordered mine on Monday. I mentioned these delay stories to my dealer and they said Ford is starting to catch up, and expect mine in 6-8 weeks. Hope that is true, but Im bracing myself for longer.

I don't understand, did you order some specific package? There are 2010 stangs at just about every dealership in Texas and all over Ebay. Maybe you should start looking elsewhere, I'd be losing faith by now.

I ordered a GT500 with all options. The reason it was delayed was the air bag cover issue. This effected over 1800 mustangs, not just the GT500s. They have cleared up the issue and almost all vehicles held have been shipped or are really close to shipping.
