Default for people with champion spark plugs

for people with champion spark plug 7989. Did you guys have to gap it or was it pre gapped? Thanks.

Im looking to do my spark plug change w/ 18k miles on it. Hopefully I wont have a problem.
Anyone that has the broken head removal tool...plz PM me if you wanna sell it or let me borrow it lol. I want to be prepared if it does break on me.

Just soak the Sh** out of those plugs! I had mine still take around 50 lbs to break loose. (11500 miles) I used Seafoam Deep Creep, as soon as they broke loose the Seafoam ate the carbon right up. came out easy. As far as gap, I set them at .044, be sure to check them.

I changed my 06 GT's plugs at 63k miles.

I was successful....but patience is the key.

I started each plug 1/4 turn then sprayed PB blaster in there, then waited 4 hours and tried to see if they would move more.

had to work them back and forth several times.

THere was lots of "SCREECHING" on some of the more problematic ones.

But I just kept working them back and forth and be sure to spray enough PB blaster in there but not enough to flood your engine! LOL.

I started at 11am on a Saturday, and got all the plugs out on noon on Sunday.

Good luck! Patience is key grasshopper!

Don't be alarmed when you start the car as there will be a HUGE white cloud of smoke.
