Anyone who has decided against the Sirius service and would like to sell the receiver out of the trunk let me know. I'd like to get the dash mounted receiver out of my car and play it through the Shaker like a factory set up.
I picked up a receiver from a guy thay was making a road course car for only $10 but the cable to connect it to the Shaker was $70.
Sirius charges $15 to transfer service to a different receiver.

Sounds like the antenna. +1 on checking from the radio to the antenna. When I bought my '07, it was 6 months free.

Hairnation is my #1 favorite station. I frequently used to drive 6-7 hour trips one way and some 12-13 hour trips and often never changed stations.

Don't start at the radio though. Start at the Sirius antenna on the trunk and trace it to the Sirius receiver which is mounted in the trunk (passenger side behind the carpeted panel). More than likely the problem is between the Sirius antenna and the Sirius receiver and not the Shaker or between the Shaker and the trunk mounted Sirius receiver.

The shi**er wont function out of the S197s can buss enviroment.
Its not a stand alone radio like the OEM stockers of yeasteryear.
And dont even think you are going to get one to function with an
OEM Sirius receiver nevermind one out of another stang and has
not even been configured to work with your shi**er ON a proper
module can buss.

What I was trying to say is I want to get rid of the dash mounted Sirius unit and get the Ford OEM receiver out of the trunk of another car and the wiring to run it to the back of my Shaker like the factory set up.

JimC - I got a Sirius set up from an '06 F-150 radio. As long as you get the right type of connector to make it work. Does your radio have an AUX or SAT button? Whatever that button is, that's the type of system you need. An AUX based wire harness will NOT work with a SAT button and vice-versa. I've had mine for over a year now and NO PROBLEMS!

Thanks, I have the AUX button, do you know the part number I should be looking for so I don't get the wrong one?

And to the original poster, have you had a chance to chase down the problem on your system yet?

Sadly, off the top of my head, no. If you look on EBAY, there are guys who sell them. Just get the part number off there. That's what I did. I wish I could be more help.
