Anyone with Steeda Tri Axe Shifter?
#23
no knock on the Hurst or anyone that has one... I HAD one and it just wasn't for me, it did have a more POSITIVE feel than the Steeda, Pro 50, B&M, and MGW shifters I have tried on customer cars that I have installed. My only real beef with the Hurst was that yeah, just too notchy, and the handle was too high.... I fixed the handle issue (cut below the upper hole and drilled a new upper hole) handle height was great but the notchy wouldn't go away, so the Hurst went away. Ran the stocker for a while then I came across a B&M for short money. The B&M was exactly what I was looking for, nice short and SMOOTH shifts, the handle could be shorter but I won't complain. I have had the opportunity to use all those shifter, and came to the conclusion that it is mostly personal taste when it comes down to it.
