I just received my Mustang a week ago, non-NAV, 500, no issue!
I'm an 'audiophile freak', so I would notice it.

Can you please perform the steps below to get the "code" from your stereo, and post what it is?

Radio on and put the radio on an AM or FM channel.
Press 3 and 6 simultaneously.
Before it stops testing the speakers press 6.
Then press the UP button and you see the reference code.

Thank you!

Three days after I spoke to the Ford Area Customer Service rep at that 2010 Mustang owners event, I got a call from Tustin Ford saying they want to completely replace the ACM. I hadn't heard from them in weeks. Funny how that works He asked me to e-mail him pictures of the ACM I've taken. More details to follow...

Good for you AJ! It really is too bad that it takes elevating an issue to get people to do the right thing.

But to be honest, when I was switching through the inputs (AM/FM/CD/SYNC) I heard a little popping noise (like a discharging capacitor) while I switched from FM to CD.

This is the same code as Popeyejon, who also does not have the sound we're talking about.

All right - we need the facts, mam/man, especially from those non nav owners WITHOUT the noise.

Please state: 1. 500 or 1000; 2. No nav; 3. The code* (see end) 4. Build month. 5. Noise or no noise.

Only asking about 2010s without NAV packages:
