I think it definitely could look good! Here's some pics I found of this type of combo on a BMW 335i, Montego Blue with Coral Red interior:

I've always liked the red and blue combo, but it has to be done right to look good. A little off topic, but another place I've seen this color combo and liked: Red car with blue-painted calipers and vice-versa. I actually want to put blue valve covers on my engine.

Only car I have ever seen that on is a Z06 vette... local radio guy in sacramento has one. Its just red bolstering but it still looks like too many colors.

Red would be awful in that car. Just awful. Just look at the pics above. A totally white interior would be cool though.

I think it will look real cool (and patriotic) if you finish the car off with white stripes.

sorry, but it looks like parts salvaged from a wrecked vehicle. Blue and Red do not go together unless you tie in some other neutral color like white, black or grey.

FWIW, that Vista Blue is just such a bright, Crayola crayon color to begin with, you really should go with something more neutral like black, white or grey. Adding another bright color just announces to the world that you have no taste or sense of balance.
