Default anyway to supercharge and still pass emissions?

I want to look into a supercharger, but still need to pass the emissions tests. Any advice?

Most popular system from big supercharger vendors come with canned tunes that are CARB approved, which means emission legal in California, which is one of the most stringent states for mods. Smaller vendors don't want to bother with the process, but they may still be emission legal depending on where you live.

I'm assuming that most popular FI systems like Vortech, Procharger, XCharger, etc. all are able to pass emissions...

Just a little off topic, but do you have to pay for these emission tests? We dont have those here in MN

we dont have them in MI either.....pretty sure any system for the S197 is CARB legal....could be wrong. The biggest effect on your emissions (emissions only) would be if you have CAT's or no CAT's and if your running your O2 sensors or not. The computer adjusts for the rest!

When I had my Vortech HO Supercharged 2005 Mustang GT, I had no problems what so ever passing emissions....had it done 2 years in a row. Cost is $25, but if you look around now there are places doing it for $20.

Yeh all the major Super Charger Companys will have the CARB EO number stamped on the unit itself and provided a canned tune to help you with emmissions !

I had a stage 3 saleen installed by brenspeed back in April.....Guess I'll find out in a month or two when I go in for inspection if it's still emissions legal.

yeah emissions tests anywhere can be a joke. I've heard of a lot of guys just paying off their buddies to pass them here in cali.
