Question Can I Track my Order Through Assembly?

It has only been 2 days since I ordered my Mustang but I was wondering if once I get the VIN from the dealer is there a way I can go on line to track the progress though assembly and delievery or only dealers can do? Also, where are the Mustang GT Prem put together?

Joe

No you can't track it by yourself. Are you in NYC? What dealer you purchased from? Maybe "someone" on the forum will be able to help you. But 2 days is still not enough. The order probably just reached Flat Rock,MI.

I don't know whether this is still available. My car was assembled 09/06/06. The salesman telephoned me to provide me with the VIN and he also gave me a website that allowed me to track the location of the rail car that contained my car. I was checking the location every few hours. That was kind of cool.

No, I can't. It was a URL that tracked the location of the specific railroad car that was carrying my auto. So only people interested in autos on that railroad car would find the URL useful. If your salesperson doesn't know about it (and I don't even know if the feature is still available), ask to talk to the sales manager. Man, my car visited some real out-of-the-way places. I had to to find some of them!

Rats. You did? I didn't see it. Sorry. But if you read my other messages about Apple Ford, bottom line is I am going to Pittsburg Weds to Northland Ford to pick up a car I would have gotten from Ford if I wanted to wait weeks and weeks. If you need more detail, let me know.
