Steeda suspension mods review
I decided to work on the suspension first. My primary goals were to stiffen up the ride and reduce under-steer. After looking at several options I decided to go with Steeda Super lite springs, rear sway bar, and steel strut tower brace. Installation was straight forward a friend of mine and I did it all in about 5 hours, neither of us are experts. I would have hated to do this without access to a lift.
I am very happy with the results. The ride is much stiffer, probably a bit too stiff for the average daily driver, but great for me. The rear sway bar almost completely balanced out the under-steer, there is still a little mid turn under-steer, but it is easily compensated for with the throttle. Turn in is very sharp and precise.
I highly recommend this set up for anyone looking to do track days or auto-cross. The stiffness, may get on some peoples nerves on a daily driver.
I also installed the Steeda SCT tune for 87 octane and was very surprised at the increased throttle response. I did not really expect to notice a difference with just an 87 tune, but there was a very noticeable improvement.
The Steeda Tri-Axe install was a bit of a challenge, but not too bad, I am very happy with the shorter throw, and it is just about impossible to miss 3rd.
I want to thank the guys at Steeda for some great products.
