Anything 20+ years old can be considered a "classic". Classic as a term is very subjective as it depends on the value placed on it by the purchaser.

A Yugo could be considered a "classic" by some definitions... for others, your car has to be built before 1959 so not a single mustang would be considered classic. I always went by the 20+ year rule.

Yeah I always go if it's old enough for a antique plate, which is 25 years here in Illinois

Probably not. But if you watch Jay Leno's vid on his Shelby GT350 he mentions how people back then thought mustangs would never be classics since they made so many of them. And yet 40 years later they are, and people still want them, because they had one when they were younger.

It's a hard thing to predict.

I think it would be cool to keep it for 50 years. Especially for me since this is the first car I ever bought.
