I have a couple of scratches on the interior black plastic, the black plastic section under the air bag. I know these can be sanded down to not look as noticeable. What grit of sandpaper is needed?

I'm sure you guys feel my pain. Damn women and their rings haha.

I too have the scratches that you have mentioned, among other places. Ford had to be so damn cheap with their plastic interior lol.

The scratch isn't deep, I just need to get rid of the white plastic excess.

I would start with a 2000 then step it down till it starts to disappear then work back up to 2k to finish it back of

I don't think it will look right afterwards. that's just me tho. If you get it right let us know. At least do it on a hidden area first to see the results.

JMO, if you do anything to try and get rid of that scratch, you'll bring more attention to the area...

I had a few scratches there that were 10x worse than that picture (man I need a microscope to see your scratch in that pic ). Mine were caused by loading a portable AC unit that would only fit forcefully in the passenger seat in the parking lot of home depot. All I did was spray some armor all on a damp sponge and kind of worked it into the dash with some circular motions and a little elbow grease, and it never came back. Give that a try before sanding the dash. I would never sand that dash as it will make it 10x worse and will turn it white.

I have a big scratch that I recently put in my dash as well. I was fiddling around with my daughters car seat and wasn't paying attention. There is no way sanding it will work because it's a textured finish. I'm probably going to have to bite the bullet and replace that panel. I'm actually running down to the dealership today to see how much it is

^ I have to agree with you...the texture doesnt lend it self to sanding down without making it even more noticeable..
