Default Interior Speedometer LED Question.

Hey guys, so as most of you know, I switched out every LED in the car from green to blue. However, I don't have mycolors so im stuck with the crappy green leds in the speedo. I kind of like the white LEDs that stay on when the Headlights are not switched on. My question is, is there anyway to wire the speedo, so that the white lights always stay on or turn on when the headlights are on?

Yeah i used the write up from another forum. When I find it I will post it up. It is very time consuming and you got to be patient. I don't know the total time since I did it over a 3 month period, just because I didn't have the patient to do it all at once. Everything works fine now and looks great. I would say total time was close 17 hours, if you don't break anything on the way. I broke my window switch and my buddy also broke something in the center counsel when he did his. If I were to do it again though. I could probably knock it out in like 6 hours.

And the awswer to the OPs question is no, there is no way to
wire around the white to green feature. Its controlled by the
SJB and the cluster gets its info thru the can buss.
Hijack the can buss and it could be done that way.
Way too much trouble for just a color of a guage/meter.
Or rewire all the headlights so they dont go thru the SJB
and the SJB wont report to the cluster that the headlights are
on and it wont switch colors......

I am looking into this s well. I have an 02 so definitely no "mycolor". Before this I had an 03 Eclipse and had the same problem. I did get them to blue though. Bought blue LED's, took the entire gauge cluster apart. Even took the needles off. Had to get to the film that's in there. It's like an amber color. I took some non-acetone nail polish remover and some cotton ***** and completely removed the "amber" from the lens. If that works on the Mustang and you try it though PLEASE, put scotch tape on the holes as that nail polish remover eats everything in it's path. Even the tape if you leave it there long enough.
