07 GT had no problems for the first 51k. Just this week my alternator went out and the PCM got fried. It's not covered under warranty, talked to Ford corporate and an trying to get reimbursed for the parts since it's BS that a bad alternator would fry a PCM. Poor engineering...

My V6 now has 35,000 miles. Purchased July 2006.

- Had the alternator replaced at 28,000. Replaced the battery shortly after. I think partly my fault for leaving the lights on too many times (no one is perfect .

- On rare occasions the fuel gauge can get stuck to empty if I make a few really hard turns then stop the car (since new). This resolves itself after a few miles so I never let the dealer mess with it.

- Found water on the passenger side floor a couple of times. How do you fix that (weatherstrip, cowl sealing??)?

- Manual transmission always made some rattle noise when car idles, even when the car was new. I used to move the shifter a bit and noise would go away, but now it is rather permanent when car idles (maybe because I put a short throw shifter but I can't remember).

- Driveshaft was bad since new also. This wasn't very noticeable at legal speed on the highway, but after putting in 3:73 gears the problem became apparent at higher speed (excessive vibrations).

Other than that this car has been rock solid and I would buy again. Especially with the type of abuse it's taking since day one. Built tough... Ford tough... Drive it like a Ford... LOL This is a keeper. I love this car. Cheers,

Default Still love this car.

2006 GT with 37,000 miles.

Only 2 issues but fixed under warranty. The fuel pump was replaced under TSB and the Air Bag on driver side due to emblem developing "bubbles" after a while. Can't remember if that was a TSB fix or warranty, but believe it or not they replaced it. That was done around the 8,000 mile mark and the new one is doing just fine.

The car had a few rattles in the doors and dash but with this web site's help the rattle in the doors was resolved and the dash has quieted down on it's own.

Still love the car and if was ever to buy another car would buy the Mustang again.

Rusty : )
