Default My mustang fixed itself...

Well I have been having CELs come on and off with my bassani headerback exhaust system for the past year, especially in colder temps. Anyways aparently my car got sick of it and took matters into its own hands. I no longer have any CEL's and my sensor is reading clean air in the comp. How did this happen you ask, I assume my car got so sick of it that while I was sleeping it decided to poke a hole in the cat before the sensor allowing the air to spew out and cause cleaner readings on the O2 sensor.

All kidding asside, the single cat is going to cost me $190 to get a new one, or I can have the hole welded (its the size of a pencil going through it)

Im in a toss up between what to do, im sure welding will be cheaper but if that cat is giving me problems already with emissions im thinking of replacing it since the weld will bring the emission problems back. Either way I have to do somthing cause an air leak sounds like ***, I feel like im driving a geo metro with the exhaust hanging off the back.

What do you guys think, any how much approx do you think it will be to weld it?
