Does anyone have any advice on after market warranty companies. Looks like it costs about $1350 for a 5 yr plan.
Ensurall is the company I am currently looking at .

I have one, haven't used it yet, hope I don't have to....$100 deductable cost me about $1500 i think. I think it's worth it if you stay bolt-on. Have fun with the car and if something breaks then just "bolt-off" lol. I've even heard about ppl getting away with blowers and then taking them off. You have to watch though b/c anything engine/trans/rear will require inspection by the company and they're ******(so my buddy at the dealer tells me)

IMO, a waste of money for all except those that really beat their car. But that's just my 2 cents. What do I know. I've owned over 12 cars and the last 9 had at least 178,000 miles when I got rid of them; most had over 200,000 miles. I never needed any work that would have made an extended warranty (even if it extended to over 200,000 miles) worth the investment.

Dealers are pain in the butt to begin with. They use every trick in the book to avoid honor the waranty. If the were giving me 2000 to give up my warranty entirely I would go for it... and mod the **** out of the car.

Consumer Reports may be correct about this, but don't believe everything you see in CR. Some of the photographs are not true representations of the product. Please, no comments accusing me of libel. I have a letter from CR admitting what I have stated here about photographs.

I dont think they are really worth it. We accept the aftermarket warranties at our shop, I see some come in, and you need to read the fine print on whats covered on a lot of things. sure some stuff gets covered now and then, but in the long run, save that money for repairs vs a warranty.

Not worth the expense, in my opinion. Had them on my last three vehicles and never used once, just do the scheduled maintenances.

the only Warranty you should ever consider is the Ford ESP.

period. Nothing else. All of the other companies have fine print and a ton of disclaimers to prevent covering as much as possible.

The Ford ESP however is quite simple. You have a yr and mileage quota. If within that quota, you are covered. Period. That is the PremiumCare ESP.
You can go cheaper and select a more bare-bones ESP from Ford, buy why?

I was quoted $540 for a 4yr/60,000 mile PremiumCare ESP on my Expy with $100 deductible.

visit here for your own quote. They are quite reasonable, and totally worth it. If you buy it from a Dealership, they will charge you about double that cost.
