Was thinking much faster than my typing, lol.

The one with aluminum heads is the FRPP version, bumped to 521ci now.
On mass produced ones, founded in trucks from the factory, they were all cast and not even close to high HP numbers.
Very torquey mill though...

it's been done, pick up this month's issue of either 5.0 mustangs and super fords or muscle mustang and fast fords edition.

A dealer installed 460, bored and stroked.

thanks everyone, i really appreciate all the input...i'm 19 right now and going to college for mechanic work, and i'd really like to get into custom cars and fabrication so i figured something like this would be a good project to mess with to get some experience workin with everything...that and i freakin love mustangs

why not play with a V-10 then?

slightly bigger than a 5.4, and gobs of potential. And I believe they are a bit lighter than the 460 since they have aluminum heads.


They fit inside the new Edge stangs. SVT was playing around and installed a V-10 in a 99/00 GT for ****s n' giggles. Apparently made the car so wild they decided it wasn't a viable idea. All the forward weight bias caused traction to disappear

well see i can get a 460 for about a grand, and a V-10 would cost a crap load...

not really the 6.8l v10 can be found everywhere for dirt cheap down here. its in every fleet superduty.

6.1/6.2 for 2011 would be nice, but a V10 would be sick.

bout how much do u think it would cost to have one of those beasts shipped here to PA? and where should i look to find one?

As for the Tranny I would stick with Tremec. Its not going to be that cheap.
