I have dropped mine to 750 before becasue i wanted it to line up with the notches in the tach... yea i know im weird

i never had any problems, other then if the motor was cold the RPM's would drop to around 500 if i put the clutch in and reved it.

Hope this helps!

I lowered my idle before. I forgot what I lowered it to. I think around 700. I didn't notice the car sounding any lopier and it would stall when I would let the car cruise in neutral.

I reflashed my car this morning to lower mine. Previously, I had a revised Bama tune for the LT headers and I flashed that one with the default Bama settings. As soon as I put the car on "D" I had to press down on the brake HARD, because Bama set the drive idle at 800 rpm and at that rpm, the car just wants to go.

I lowered it to 700rpm because I read around that setting the idle too low can cause damage to some valves or something. All is good now. My brake pedal doesn't have to be halfway down now to avoid hitting the car in front.
