Really impressed with the 3v 4.6 sound
Ive been reading all these exhaust threads and seeing alot of people saying how they never will have that old school low rumble but it seems it does!
Ive had my mufflers off for about a week now and im loving the sound. Stock manifold stock h pipe and nothing else sounds awesome. If any mufflers even come close to this sound then i dont know what people are complaning about. It drones like crazy, but it sounds like a beast when you gas it. I pulled up behind a lightly modded v6 s197 yesterday and tapped the throttle (revved up to like 2k maybe) and both their heads snapped to the rear view mirrors.
The only problem with the setup i have now, is it drones a good bit, and my bumper looks awfully funny with no muffler tips sticking out.

at least get some axle back pipes, it will cut down on the drone and the resonance coming from under the mustang.
and i also like the s197 sound over the previous years. i think the 3v makes it a little smoother sounding. but stock vs stock the s197 sounds better. it just sounds different than what people are used to, but in time people will recognize the s197's distinct sound. but compared to my 92 LX the 2007 is louder, meaner sounding, and way less drone the the fox with flowmasters. those flows drone like nobody's business.
