Should have just got some gears that take you out of that rpm range on the highway...

I've had borla stingers on for a week or so now. I really like the sound, but the drone from 1800-2000 rpms or so can get very loud. If you do much cruising around 70 in 5th gear (assuming 3.31 gears) you might not like them much. I just downshift to 4th in that situation though.

I had a set of FRPP Stingers for a couple years. Great sounding exhaust, but got tired of the drone. I recently installed Boomtubes, never going back. Next to no drone at all and the sound is great! You have to hear them in person to fully appreciate them.

One of my friends has boomtubes and they do sound fantastic on an otherwise stock setup but the fit and finish isn't as good as the frpp/borlas. He had alignment problems with the tips and ended up having a shop finish the job. My borlas went on and fit into the slots on the bumper almost perfectly without adjustment.

I love my Stingers. Nice tone at partial throttle; certainly deeper than stock. An they really wail at WOT. There IS a bit of drone at about 1500-1800 RPM but I don't mind it, especially with the windows open.
