2006 Mustang GT 152,000 Mile Report

Not sure what you mean. Clutches wear out no matter whether they are hydraulic or not. If you baby it and never do any burnouts or any high rpm launches by slipping it then it could last 150,000 miles. You take it to the track and pound on it then it could be slipping at 50,000 or even less depending.

Wow thats impressive, if you don't mind me asking, how hard have you driven it? I'm in the market for one and my price range leaves me with a lot of GT's with 85k-115k and I'm hoping to hear you drive your car like you stole it! that way I won't have anything to worry about.

I was really glad to see this thread wasvette I mean, it wasn't really surprising(imo these engines are bullet proof), and with a good owner I don't see why these cars can't see 200k+...I was actually surprised by the amount of people who were surprised at the high mileage(if that makes any sense..lol).
Besides a car being a lemon, or having a bad owner(both driving/maintenance)...Do y'all think that 200k+ will be hard to achieve on these cars?

Right?? IMO, we are the kinda of people who buy one car, with all intentions of keeping it forever. I don't understand how these people freak out about 35k-50k on a car....

Clentonz, at the rate Wasvette is going, he'll get 300,000 easy. Probably 400,000 easy. I plan on running mine for at least 300,000. On October 15th of this year my car will be 2 years old right now I have 50,700 miles on it. Lots of highway miles. I went to a dealer today to see a Sunset Gold Mustang in person. It was a V6 with automatic and Pony Package for 25,xxx. I asked the salesman what kind of trade in deal could he offer. He said with a 1,000 dollar rebate he could bring the price down to 23,000 and give me 18,000 on my car. I said no thanks. Mine's a GT/CS 08 with a Pioneer Avic D3 stereo and in my sig the rest of my mods. I might have done it with a even trade. But, I keep telling myself to keep it for 10 years or so. Glad to see Wasvette having smooth sailing with his stang.
