Fuggin bastages took my pioneer nav unit and ipod today and gouged up my dash pretty good in the process while I was at work. At least they didn't break the window to get in. Apparently my alarm is useless as all you have to do is pop the hood and cut the ground wire from the speaker and that's that.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to prevent a thief from taking a head unit? Maybe some kind of strap or something to attach it to the frame of the car in the dash somewhere? Maybe razor blades taped behind the dash? Although that could be messy. Damn this sucks. Just got done putting the stock shaker 500 back in.

It's a cheapo ford alarm I had installed when I bought the car.

yeah that sucks....need to get a 2way alarm. that way even if they do shut it off you have already been notified from the first second it went off....

i have the f90bt also and i have the autopage 1000 alarm and love it. 1 mile range

That would be sweet but I park about 8 blocks from where I work and it would be hard to make that trek every time the alarm went off. I need an alarm that sends 100000 volts through anyone that sits in the car after it gets set off haha.

No it was installed by the ford dealer after I bought the car.

Sorry to hear that, how much damage did they do? It's a shame, sometimes the damage they cause is more than the stereo they stole.
