Radio Question
I need to know if I can replace the factory Shaker 500 head unit from my '06 GT 'vert with another factory Shaker 500 head unit from an '08 Mustang. Both have the 3 plugs on the back. Anybody have any knowledge here?

yes
what happened to the other thread?
some people are running around saying it won't work. I've seen it work personally. But it's your money, so I'd check all your sources first before dropping the cash.
The difference between a 06 and a 07+ radio is the Aux input. The newer cars now have a headphone jack wired into the radio harness and the jack is in the center console. The Radio itself didn't change...same wire harness connections...just that the car itself has the input directly wired now

Not sure of the price for a factory unit, but why not go with one of these... I did.

This is newer than mine, but you get navigation(not DVD) and you can get an iPod cord to mount in the glovebox and control it with a touch screen instead of taking eyes off the road to play with the actual iPod
