Default Seat cushion to raise someone up?

ok don't laugh even though it's funny - my girlfriend is only 5' tall and when she sits in the passenger seat of my mustang she can barely see over the hood. She wants me to get her a cushion so she can finally see out of the car. Anyone cover this problem and find a nice one?

I did some web searches but wasn't too happy with the options -- she needs something to raise her up about 6 inches I'd guess

thanks all!

phone book possibly?

new one...Wally world sells some of those posture seats. Maybe you could pick on up on the cheap. Can't see it being very comfy though

My wife has the exact same problem. Plus the air bag doesn't arm itself when she sits in the seat. She has a cushion she sits on in her car (Focus) so she just uses that. The ones available at WalMart are not too bad.

You can take the seat out and put some spacers underneath. You can gain about 3/4" that way. The spacers are available in the hardware dept. of Lowes. Do a search, there is a thread about this.

i saw an episode of pimp my ride and they used and airbag (same one used on low riders for hydraulics) to raise the seat.

+1 on the phone book. Or maybe one of those kiddie seats like the ones at the restaurant. Either that or just a firm, fat pillow.

thanks all! phonebook wouldn't do the trick, she wants something comfy - can you imagine? I'll probably go with a big cushion from pepboys or something

While we're on the subject, does anyone know if it's hard/expensive to convert the passenger seat to a power version like the driver's side? Anyone done this?

I know your pain. I have a 2 1/2 cowl hood, most passengers cannot see, lol.
my ten year old still uses his booster seat to help, or if I forget it, he takes his shoes off and sits on his feet.
