I would assume so. It says shaker500 above the CD player. Is there some ways to test to see if need a new speaker or try to find the buzzing sound to make it stop?
dw32005 - What brand and model number speakers did you replace your factory ones with? I'm sure that the aftermarket speakers sound better, but do play at the same volume level as the factory speakers did?
I replaced them with these Kenwood KFC-C6882ie from crutchfield. As far as sounding better i didn't really notice anything to tell you the truth. But i have a new double din head unit coming in hopeing that will help out a bit. As far as maybe your speakers being fine they very well could be. The only reason i replaced mine was b.c i thought they were blown. Turned out that it was all bc i used an fm transmiter and my speakers were fine, i left them out anyways. Once i got rid of that i never had problems with the new speakers again.

I guess I haven't thought about it. It doesn't happen all the time. Its weird. It does it for some songs and not others. It does it a lot when people are talking (radio hosts). Sometimes songs with base will do it and sometimes it won't. Is it possible the speaker is fine?
Yeah that's probably just the speaker vibrating some of the cheap plastic in the doors. Mine does that all the time. Usually high pitched bass will do it for me (Red Hot Chili Peppers always does it). Try putting pressure on it with your leg and see if it helps. If it does, you'll know it's not the speaker.
I'm planning to dynamat (sound proof) the doors whenever I get the time. That should hopefully stop it and make the stereo sound much better. *edit*157db beat me to it.
I highly doubt the speaker is blown. What you are describing is either plastic vibration or just the broadcast itself. It sounds like a common noise like when listened to talk radio or AM stations almost
Just upgrade the speakers. It will sound way better, and the install is very easy. If you can't figure out how to remove the door then pay to get it installed at a car audio shop. I have Kicker 6X8's in my car. Will upgrade to component 6 1/2's later though for much better sound.
I did some messing around with the audio settings and I think Goldenpony is correct. I don't think the speaker is blown but something is buzzing in the door. And I think it is the sub not the speaker. I haven't taken my door apart yet to see, but I am curious. Is it possible for the sub to have vibrated loose inside the door? Like a couple screws that hold it in place started coming out? I tried adding pressure to the door when I got it to buzz with bass all the way up and treble all the way down. But my adding pressure to the door didn't stop the buzzing even slightly. Any thoughts? Aside from dynamat.
