...are they glued on or do they have pins on the back? I'd like to put some other emblem on but dont know if there is holes in the fenders for the emblem or not.
I think all of them except the 05 have guide holes in the fenders. But depending on the what you want to replace them with the new emblem might cover them.
at least the 05-09 (not sure on 2010) have 3m adhesive as well as pins and holes....fishing line is the best way to remove them....just take your time....
so then my next question is if my '05 has holes in the fenders what is the spacing between them? I hate to take them off only to find what ever emblem I pick doesnt cover the holes.

Do a search. There is a thread that has pictures and measurements. I don't remember exactly, but I think the holes are over an inch apart and not at the same height either.
The holes are vertical and they are staggered, meaning they are not directly on top of one another. They are 1 1/8 inches apart. The bottom hole is located at the lower right hand corner of the "G". The upper hole is located in the dead center of where the G and the T connect. Hope this helps. Use a hair dryer while doing the fishing string. Then follow up with Goo Gone. Then clean the area with straight rubbing alcohol as a final cleaner and you're ready for the new emblems. Don't be nervous about doing this. It's easier than you think. Just don't use any sharp objects to assist. Heat and fishing line, that's all.
