Default Pipes Longtube Headers. Anyone running these?

Looking for a set of longtube headers for the Mustang. Anyone have experience with the Pypes brand. Just wanting to know how the fit and finish is and what kind of H.P. gains to expect.

http://www.brenspeed.com/pypespackagea.html

Thanks,
Joe

The Mac headers are cheaper........and they have a good fit. Pypes products have great prices and poor quality...their fitament sucks!

THe Mac headers being cheaper I see no reason not to go with them instead...

I order these yesterday after chatting with Brenspeed. They just installed them on a shop car and said the fitment was great. Said they are identical to the kooks long tube headers. I'll take their word for it. Hopefully order FRPP hotrod cams today!

KcMstang, Let us know how the install goes and post some sound clips when finished. Are you getting the X or H mid pipe?

I ordered a set today. I previously ordered the MAC's, but they have been on back order since May, so I switched up to the Pypes after a call from Brenspeed offering a set for the same price as the MAC's. They said the fit was perfect and identical to the KOOKS. I don't see them making a statement like that just to sell a few more sets of LT's. As soon as they go on I'll throw up a few sound clips.

Everything I've seen and read on them said Pypes actually took a set of Kooks headers and made an exact copy. Someone on one of the forums said he bought the set of Kooks that Pypes used to make them from.
