Question Will this clear things up?

another damnnn exhaust question...i currently have pypes o/r x and mid muffler set-up, but it needs to be toned down some. I am thinking flowmaster axle backs and leaving the m80's as resonators.....any thoughts? just too much drone, plus i am selling the car, and I don't want a potential buyer turned off by the loudness....any good advise is welcomed! I DO NOT want any cats on...

Yikes, Flowmasters sound like **** on our S197's IMO. When you pair them with an o/r X, it turns into all rasp. I've heard the Flows drone terribly too. To me, the MM setup with an o/r x is one of the best sounding setups on the S197. I would keep what you have.

get a decent set of Maggies or Borla

Crapmasters are horribly loud, and they have an awesome drone above 2,000 rpm

What about some cheap-o resanotors? (spell check) Would that calm it down like you want?

I think that would sound good-basically flows, O/R X and resonators. There's a youtube vid of that setup and the rasp is REALLY toned down. I used to run a Bassani X and it was WAY too raspy but with resonators I think it would sound good

Go back to stock mufflers, with your O/R X...done.
