hey guys, does anyone know where I could purchase a set of new gauges for my 10 GT I got the deluxe coupe and want the on board computer and the white faced gauges. Ive heard this shouldn't be to hard even though the dealer says you cannot do it!! I was like what I thought all they had to do was download my odometer info on to the new gauges!!!

The "My Color" lighting on the gauges is where you might run into difficulty.

Your dealer may be right. I know that the 04-06 GTO gauges were difficult to swap (they came color matched to the car; many wanted to change them for one reason or another) due to the fact that the gauges needed a special programmer that you could only get from the manufacturer.

There was a guy in the GTO community that had gotten the tools and knowledge necessary to do the swap, at great expense to him. He then parlayed that ability into a pretty lucrative business though.


Does it mean that its impossible on the Stang? No, just that the time and expense involved may not be worth it.

isent there a wiring harness I could get to do the my lighting kit? I read a thread of people doing it with the 05-09 but did they already come standard with the my color? Who would be best to contact to find out the process of this?

If you cant get anything from the dealer, you may want to try an aftermarket manufacturer that deals a lot with the Stang (Roush, Saleen). While they may not offer a direct swap, they may have done enough custom work to know of a solution already.
