I am looking for someone to do the full stripe install and review it.

You dont address that.
Please do.
Do the stripes you do do haves the cut-outs
or can they have for the Roush scoopers?
"These 10" wide stripes are a perfect fit for your 2005 and up Mustang GT. These are pre-cut and contoured for your car. They are made from high quality vinyl that will last for years.

Define "high quality vinyl".
I need a manufacturer and a type before biting at $69 stripes...
And you wonder why no takers....
The stripes will go under the roush scoop, but I don't have any that will go on top of the scoop right now. The gloss vinyl is Oracal 651 it is a 6 year outdoor vinyl. The flat black is Oracal 751 is a 8 year outdoor life. Most people don't have their cars for 6 year so it seems to do the job just fine.

Will it bunch over time like the vinyl stripes do under the ever moving
front points of the roush hood scoop? 6-8 years is a long time to live
with stripe bunching under the hoodscoop.
Baltimore Street Mods supplies a kit that has the cut-out for the scoop
to prevent bunching...
I am looking for the composition of the stripes, not the brand name or
estimated outdoor life.
Vinyl is not Vinyl.
Its not all the same.
Its like saying paint is paint.
Or are you just buying it and applying it without knowing what it is made of? JK
And guess what, I am not one of those use it for 5-6 years and get rid of it kind of people... LOL

well, i'm just looking for a superstripe for the hood in flat black (which i see you have ); what would happen if i'd get wax on it? i've heard it could mess up a flat finish?

**oh, another question... how is it made and how difficult is it to install?

thanks

it's too bad i'm not looking for the stripes you mentioned in your first post; that's a heck of a deal.

I don't have them cut out for the roush scoop. I haven't had the opportunity to work on a Roush yet, besides doing the rear letters. It really amazes me that the stripes would bunch under the scoop. As long as you let the stripes cure for a few days in the sun, I don't see them bunching up, but I think I remember seeing the thread about it. I agree with you that vinyl is not vinyl, some people get fooled by people saying "we use only 3M vinyl" well 3M makes cheap 3 year vinyl just like most other companies. So if you are getting 3M vinyl, make sure you are getting an intermediate or higher quality cast vinyl.

Is the vinyl you use cast or calendered vinyl?
Is this it as the color chart link would suggest?
ORACAL 651 Intermediate Cal
2.5 mil, intermediate calendered, PVC film, permanent adhesive

I'd do this if I didn't have the GT hood scoop. I'd have a hard time deciding on silver or white.

It looks nice from the picture. Also about half of what the dealer wanted when I asked. Although I don't know the material difference between what Ford sells and this one.

For me, I plan on keeping this car for the long haul. So if I ever get stripes, it would be painted (which looks the best anyway). Of course the cost for that is not even comparable.

Yes the gloss colors are a calendered vinyl. The flat black is a cast vinyl.
