I have brenspeeds detroit rocker N/A cams and have detected this knock in my car as well. It is faint (not as fierce as in blacksmoke's video) but noticeable when stopped at a red light. Truly hope it is nothing.
If i ever take my car into the dealer i don't want them to turn around and tell me i have a big problem.
Glad you got your car black blacksmoke.

guys if you start hearing this light rattling after a cam job, it's nothing to worry about.
one thing i noted when i still had my stock compression motor (9.8:1), is that when you stiffen up the drive train (k-member brace or solid motor mounts) the rattling is worse.

Really old thread I know but I ended up here after getting my Ford Racing Hot Rod Cams installed today in my 09 Bullitt - I now have this noise. It is exactly as found in the video below (not my video but demonstrates the problem). The cams are amazing, the knocking sound not so much. Maybe it is normal as some have stated but I listened to a dozen videos of these cams before deciding to get them and never head that noise. After reading around, seems maybe the throw out bearing could be a first thing to check. Perhaps the cams are revealing an issue with the trans that I didn't know I had....

you need to raise or lower your idle rpms, until the rattle is reduced. it may not go away completely and you just need to get used to it. just give it time and you will enjoy the cams for many years.
