Question How do I "silence" the Tire presure monitor?

I just put new shoes on. Omega Godspeed Black Chrome From Cruizin Concepts. They look beautiful on the black car (no pics yet). One thing. I did not ask for tire pressure monitors, and now every time I turn the car on I get the Tire pressure monitor error.

Is there a way (apart of actually fitting sensors on the tires) to silence that error?

Thanks in advance.

i have the same thing. just press the reset button on your dash, right next to the speedo gauge, and it'll shut it off. but you have to do this each time you turn on your mustang.

Is there a permanent solution?

Seriously bro, this has been covered like 345,399 times. Try the search feature, you'd be amazed at what you'd find

i have not found one yet. but i just turn the ignition, roll down windows, take off windshield shade, warm car up for about 60 seconds until the rpm's drop to 750, then press the reset. after a few times its like a habit already. not too bad.

Seriously, why not have them? I think they cost $10 per wheel when I got new tires. They are there for ur safety.

The monitoring system is there for the common person that doesnt check anything in their car because they take it to the dealership for service and count on someone else doing it. For all us "old school" guys that like to do things ourselves, this should be something we do everytime we was our car.

1.Wash Car
2. Dry Car
3. Check tire pressure and wear.

im not trying to be "that guy" but look at it from this angle. being slightly low on air isnt going to make you "unsafe" at most cause the feel of out of alignment. being really low may cause it to be unsafe yes. but if it is that low, then you can visually see it and should do something about it asap. and if its just one tire that is that low, then you have a problem moreso than warm enviornment to colder enviornment. so in the end, if you need a computer to tell you that you need air in one or more tires, i got some bad news for you. and it seems people managed just fine since the introduction of the automobile until 2007 with TMPS

They made TPMS because of the Firestone tire deal with the ford explorers. The tires kept going out on the cars and people didnt even pull over and just kept driving which was a safety concern and damaged the vehicles.
