A not-so-lucky story (and not weather related either) ...
Last May we got my wife the car she's wanted for years - a red Mazda Miata with auto paddle-shifter.
One week to the day after we bought it some kid feel asleep at the wheel while driving down our street, left the road and crossed thru our neighbor's yard and then ours; missed every tree along the way and t-boned my wife's shiny new 2 seater sitting in the driveway, totaling it.
Also did appr $2.5g damage to our POS Jeep that was sitting next to it.
My Mustang, which was inches away from the whole thing didn't suffer so much as a scratch.
So mebbe there was some good luck there afterall.
Particularly since no one was hurt.
