dude, nice looking car but that sucks! i know you want to forgive this guy but if his insurance got canceled and had 6 other incidents id say hes a dip and i wouldnt be putting to much trust into his word.NEVER TRUST somone who doesnt have the money to pay the insurance. i hope this works out for you but if i were you i would definatly stay away from that guy with my car espically now that you know hes got a problem not to mention he doesnt even know how to drive.

Good luck with that cash settlement. If you have full coverage on your car you might want to be ready to pull the trigger on the policy at this point. Guess I just don't have a lot of faith any more in people.

I will agree.
I just got into this picture this week as a matter of a fact...

An old Lady I know, comes to my shop and wants an estimate from me, so she can show it to the idiot than ran into her car.
He's got a terrible driving record of course, and says he's willing to pay out of pocket in order to not get his Insurance involved and be yanked out.
But the moron says "That's too much, I know a shop that can do it for less".
LOL, so she picks her phone up and call his Insurance right in front of him and report Mr. douche bag here, LOL. I love it.
F#ck this dude! Good for her, she didn't get intimidated.
Anyway, the car was fixed and left today.

To the OP, be careful trying to be nice, especially if you don't have a Police report in your favor. You really cannot trust anyone.

+1 on not being a nice guy

I hope it works out for you but I wouldn't trust someone to pay me if they can't pay there own bills.

What stops him from going back on his word, and if he does then what?
