Actually it is painted. I intentionally painted it flat black. I guess I need to change it, everyone thinks its just prmier. lol... The urethane material they used to make it is white...

Yeah, I would get it painted to match the car, really looks good that way.
Looks like Ford meant to put one there when it matches.
Maybe wait until you scrape it up tho, then it can be justified to repaint
